High Holidays are over, the leaves are falling and as times marches on we are nearing my favorite holiday of Thanksgiving. As those of you that have been members of the Senior Adult Club for a while, you know that our Senior Adult Thanksgiving Membership Drive luncheon has been one of our most attended programs of the year. Although we will not be able to have our wonderful Turkey Dinner that Norman Gras has prepared for us every year, or partake of engaging entertainment, or (needless to say) our sign-ups for the next year’s day trips, we still want to let you know how grateful we are for your membership.
Since the closing of our senior lunches in mid-March, we have enjoyed our twice a week “Senior Check-ins” with several participants as regulars and several people dropping-in when their schedules allow. Lori, Jenn, and I are hoping to see you in the coming months on Zoom, as we hope to have more of you “check-in” for some special fun activities. In addition to our “Senior Check-ins,” we are excited to offer you some holiday-based fun-filled programs allowing us to be together even while we are apart. We hope you will want to join us.
The first program we are planning is for New Year’s Eve. This special event comes with a “New Year’s Eve Party Kit,” that we will put together for a curb-side pick-up or delivery (if you don’t drive). The New Year’s Eve event will be held via Zoom on Thursday, December 31st at 11am. We can count down to NOON as we celebrate 2021 together. We are also looking forward to a Purim Program, a Chocolate Seder for Passover, and a Spring Event as the weather gets warmer.
In order to participate, you will need to renew your Senior Adult Club Membership. The Membership fee is still $20 per person. Make your check payable to the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg. In the memo, put Senior Adult Club 2021 Dues, and mail it to my Attention:

If you have not renewed as yet, we hope you will and we thank you for your support. Once you have renewed your Senior Adult Club Membership, then either register on-line or call me (717-236-9555 EXT.3115) to register for your “New Year’s Eve Party Kit” by December 14, 2020. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
