Progressive Jewish Voice Seeks Members

By Harvey Freedenberg

The 2020 election is behind us, but the issues that prompted so many of us to volunteer, donate, and vote now have to be addressed by the Biden administration, a new Congress, and our representatives in Harrisburg. If you are energized thinking about the important tasks ahead of the country, then Progressive Jewish Voice of Central Pennsylvania is an organization that will give you an opportunity to meet and work with others who share your views.

Founded in 2013, PJV’s mission is to promote the values of social and economic justice, informed by relevant Jewish teachings that support those ideals. In recent years, we have participated in protests against the Trump administration’s immigration policies and have presented programs on gerrymandering and climate change. The group’s monthly meetings provide a place for members to discuss issues of mutual concern, including their involvement in groups promoting gun violence prevention and racial justice. We also maintain a listserv that offers a convenient forum to communicate with each other about the group’s activities.

If you have any questions about the group’s activities, please contact Harvey Freedenberg at
